Go Cardinals! Haha. This picture makes me laugh. I got it off of a blog called cakewrecks.blogspot.com. If you ever want a laugh, go check out some of those cakes! Anyway, I figured keeping with the whole potty theme...what does this cake (well they're actually cupcakes) look like? Yeah, that's what I thought too! "Thanks for buying this poo..., I mean...football cake! Enjoy!"

It seems the only things my family finds funny have to do with pee or poop or toilet water. Hmmm... I find this very interesting. The only problem with this was that I was reminded of a story while reading these posts that is just too good to not post. Many of you may have heard this story, but it's worth remembering again.
A couple of years ago Natalie was newly potty trained, but old enough to just send her to the bathroom by herself. I kept finding pee on the floor around the toilet in the bathroom. I was thinking that Jackson had forgotten how to aim (although I didn't think that was possible, since I was the "Aiming Nazi" while he was learning stand up and "go"). Anyway, I wasn't sure why this was happening every day, until I saw Natalie going to the bathroom once and it all fit together for me! She was standing there facing the toilet, pants down, squeezing her belly button and peeing on the floor. I guess she wanted to be like her big brother!

Emily, Where Did You Get That?
It was the Spring of 1977, and I was sick in bed in our little apartment in Provo. Emily, age 2 1/2, was playing nurse. She brought me a drink of water which I quickly drank. I gave her the cup back, and she left the room, returning almost immediately with another cup of water for me. I asked her, "Emily, where did you get the water?"
She replied sweetly, "From the potty."
She replied sweetly, "From the potty."
Life's little surprises
This past summer my parents took a trip to Seattle and Vancouver, B.C. My mom told me of something that happened while they were on the beach (I believe it was in Seattle). A bird flew over head and aimed right for her. Well, not only did this bird NOT miss my mom, but he (or she... I don't want to be bird sexist) had been eating some kind of dark berry and the poop was dark bluish purple. She was COVERED! The stain never came out of her clothes. Got to love those little surprises in life!

Making Jan Laugh
One day in the 1980's, I found a 2-liter bottle the kids had filled with water, and I hid it in our bathroom. That night, after Jan had finished getting ready for bed and was writing in her journal, I went into the bathroom and closed the door. I took the pop bottle and proceeded to pour the contents, with varying speeds, into the toilet. It took quite a long time to empty the entire contents, and it made a lot of noise. Then I flushed the toilet, washed my hands, turned out the light and walked back into the bedroom and waited for Jan's response. Her face was all the reinforcement I needed! She tried, she really tried, not to ask, but her face gave it away.
Yesterday in Relief Society we reviewed Elder Wirthlin's talk in the last general conference, "Come what may, and love it". What a wonderful talk! It reminded me that I need to learn to laugh again. Somehow in the last few years, laughter has been slowly seeping out of my life to the point where I almost need to remember how to laugh again. I decided to make this my humor blog and search for things to make me (and you) laugh. I would love to have other authors on this blog, so if you want to contribute, leave me a message with your email address and I'll invite you to contribute. For today I had to post a picture of something I found on another blog (http://www.cakewrecks.blogspot.com/). Check out that blog for a good laugh, too. This was just too bizarre!
Really? No Thanks, I'm stuffed!
